Hi, I just discovered this forum and figured I would join the game. I vote for The Engagement. I found that this episode was more about establishing George's story arc for the season than anything else. When rewatching the ep, I realized that it provided fodder for a lot of hilarious George stuff to follow later in the season, but nothing funny actually happened in this episode. Plus, Julia Louis Dreyfuss' real life voice problems this episode were really distracting.

Gah...uhm, welcome to the forums. But you're looking at the episode all wrong. I can kind of see where you're coming from, but you have to imagine that you'd never heard that George was getting married. Pretend you were in the audience and then watch. The first act of this episode might be the best moment of the series (certainly best act break ever). |

First off, thanks for the welcome. I agree with you that the first act was excellent. Or more to the point, the first scene in the coffee shop "Yeah, like I don't know that I'm pathetic." But it just kind of meanders from there. And the Elaine/Kramer/Newman dog story is just awful. And we are supposed to believe that any dog on the planet earth can run from Upstate NY all the way back home to Manhattan? |

Vote: The Maestro, the idea of the security guy standing all day was funnier than the excecution, I find the character of the title very pretentious, Jer story is weak, the scene with Poppis cousin is excruciating to watch.

Hey guys. This is my first post. How have I just now found this place. Amazing! Just so ya'll know I live in Japan and one of my roommates had never really watched Seinfeld. Now he is watching 2-4 episodes a night off my dvds. Anyways...I'll go with the
The Wait Out I never liked the David/Beth characters. (I actually like Cary Elwes but not Deb Messing.) I do like the whole George you coulda done better storyline though. Man this is going to start getting tough real soon. |
